Measure the packed parcel
Include the item, protection, box and accessories when measuring and weighing. Carriers may use dimensional as well as actual weight and may charge for specific services or locations. Obtain a current quote using the real destination and service details instead of assuming a flat cost.
Pack for the actual journey
Protect corners, immobilize the item and choose a container suitable for its weight and fragility. Separate accessories that could damage the item. Photograph packing where useful, but do not treat photos as a guarantee of a successful claim. Follow the carrier's current packaging requirements.
Check restrictions
Batteries, liquids, aerosols and other materials may have special transport rules or be prohibited. International shipments can create customs and documentation obligations. Do not misdescribe contents or value. If you cannot determine a compliant shipping method, do not list the item for that destination.
Close the records
Keep the carrier receipt, tracking reference and transaction details privately. Know the platform's dispatch and delivery evidence requirements. Use official carrier channels for claims and check deadlines directly. Do not share buyer addresses publicly or use them for unrelated marketing.
